| Mail Forwarding |
| Arrange to have your mail forwarded at least 4 weeks prior to your move.
Visit your local Post Office or, go to www.canadapost.ca to arrange this service on-line. |

| Important Records |
| Make arrangements to have important records transferred to your new city or town such as
school transcripts, medical, dental, and veterinarian records. |
| |
| Furniture Layout |
| Have a plan of where you want your furniture to be placed in your new home and
include all the rooms including the basement and garage. On moving day, provide a copy
of the floor plan to your Van Operator as this will help cut down the time and stress on delivery day. |

| Computer Files |
| It is important to back up your computer files onto disks. As software is sensitive to
temperatures, we recommend that you carry the disks with you in your briefcase or luggage. |
| |
| Vehicles |
| If you are driving to your new destination have your vehicle serviced prior to your move.
Don’t forget to ask your dealership or garage for a copy of the service records. |

| Make a List |
| Prepare a list of items you will need immediately upon arrival at your new home such as light bulbs,
bathroom and kitchen supplies, small tools such as screwdrivers, snacks, phone, and bedding. Take these
items with you in the car or make sure they are loaded last on the truck so they will be the first items unloaded your new home. |

| Moving Day |
| Make a final check of your home after everything has been loaded to ensure nothing is left behind.
Check closets, cabinets, garage, garden shed and crawl spaces. |
